Junior Back-End Developer

About the role
We are seeking a Junior Back‑End Developer to join a small, high‑performing engineering team. You will own and deliver core backend services from day one, working on scalable APIs, database design, and real‑time data flows.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust, scalable API infrastructure.
- Design, optimise, and manage relational databases.
- Develop distributed systems that meet real‑time execution requirements.
- Collaborate closely with a tight‑knit team of 3–4 engineers.
Required profile
- 2+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to deliver tasks end‑to‑end.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
- Clear communicator who can give constructive feedback.
- High standards for code quality and a collaborative attitude.
Required skills
- SQL
- Node.js
- TypeScript
- API frameworks (e.g., Express, Fastify)
- Git, GitHub or GitLab
- Experience with Rust or Python (strong plus)
- Knowledge of distributed systems and database design
