Junior Back-End Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Back‑End Developer to join a small, high‑performing engineering team. You will own and deliver core backend services from day one, working on scalable APIs, database design, and real‑time data flows.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust, scalable API infrastructure.
• Design, optimise, and manage relational databases.
• Develop distributed systems that meet real‑time execution requirements.
• Collaborate closely with a tight‑knit team of 3–4 engineers.

Required profile

• 2+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to deliver tasks end‑to‑end.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Clear communicator who can give constructive feedback.
• High standards for code quality and a collaborative attitude.

Required skills

• SQL
• Node.js
• TypeScript
• API frameworks (e.g., Express, Fastify)
• Git, GitHub or GitLab
• Experience with Rust or Python (strong plus)
• Knowledge of distributed systems and database design
