Junior Accounts Payable - Payments

About the role

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant for Payments to join our team in the GBS in Lisbon. In this role you will create, analyze and execute payment proposals while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Create, analyze and execute payment proposals.
• Manage intercompany payments.
• Prepare and execute urgent payments requested by internal customers.
• Analyze vendor accounts.
• Ensure all payment activities are performed accurately within deadlines.
• Create payment forecasts and other financial reports.
• Work with internal and external banking tools.
• Investigate and resolve payment issues.
• Follow compliance and internal control procedures.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and solution implementation.

Required profile

• Accountant with experience in the payments process.
• Finance or Accounting degree or equivalent administrative accounting experience.
• Ability to implement and document process improvements.
• Familiarity with standard accounting concepts, practices and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Organizational and time‑management skills.
• Professionalism and self‑oriented approach.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Intermediate level of English.
• Knowledge of Excel and SAP is a plus.
