Junior Accountant – International School

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join the finance team of an international school. You will support the finance department in ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with local regulations, reporting to the Finance Manager. The role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse community while handling core accounting tasks in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Classify and post financial documents.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Account for expense prepayments and accruals.
• Catalogue fixed assets and calculate periodic depreciation.
• Maintain the fiscal dossier.
• Submit quarterly reports to the national statistics institute (INE).
• Control and convert fixed assets to tangible fixed assets.

Required profile

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Portuguese.
• Strong organizational skills with sharp attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude, high sense of responsibility and critical thinking.

Required skills

• Experience with accounting software, preferably Primavera.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
