Java Software Engineer (Mid-level, Hybrid)

About the role

KCS IT is seeking a motivated Java Software Engineer to join its consulting team. The position is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site in Lisbon and remotely while contributing to diverse client projects across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java 8+ applications following micro‑services architecture.
• Collaborate with front‑end teams, preferably using Angular, to deliver integrated solutions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure robust unit and functional testing.
• Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Mid‑level experience with Java development and micro‑services.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
