Java Software Engineer – Enterprise Web Applications (Vaadin)

About the role

We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain enterprise web applications using Vaadin, supporting Bosch production plants worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java‑based enterprise applications for industrial production processes.
• Collaborate with an international, multicultural development team located in Braga, Salzgitter and Hildesheim.
• Work closely with production plants and internal stakeholders to define and implement innovative software solutions.
• Own the full software development lifecycle: requirements engineering, implementation, testing, documentation, peer reviews, release management, maintenance and support.
• Support integration and operation of modern application server environments such as Tomcat, TomEE and WildFly.
• Contribute to software quality and continuous improvement using ticketing systems, version‑control and planning/tracking tools.
• Coordinate technical topics with external software suppliers and internal Bosch partners.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable qualification.
• Proven experience in Java software development and backend application design.
• Initial experience with SQL databases.
