Janitor – Part-Time Cleaning Role

About the role

We are looking for a reliable part‑time Janitor to join Diversified Maintenance’s cleaning team. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and appearance across client facilities, working mornings or evenings on weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum all floor surfaces.
• Follow safe procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Clean and restock restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entryways.
• Empty trash, operate compactors, and manage waste disposal.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and spot‑clean carpets.
• Operate floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, buffers, and assist with carpet extraction.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies according to schedule.
• Perform additional duties as required by client specifications.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months of janitorial experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, Saturdays and Sundays.

Required skills

• Use of chemical cleaners and power cleaning equipment.
• Operation of floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums and buffers.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing.
