IT Systems Administration Specialist

About the role

The IT Systems Administration Specialist will manage and maintain the organization’s operating systems, networks, applications, and monitoring tools. Working within defined procedures, the specialist ensures optimal performance for both internal users and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, maintain and administer Windows, Unix, Linux, Mainframe and internal systems, as well as related networks and servers.
• Monitor operating systems, networks and applications, applying adjustments and updates as needed.
• Document, notify and escalate incidents, performing corrective actions to restore service.
• Maintain network infrastructure, track server activity, update software and perform hardware upkeep.
• Provide first, second and third‑level support for server issues, patch management and assigned projects.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to address service failures, apply patches and implement changes.
• Contribute recommendations for continuous improvement of server configurations, migrations and application deployments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in server administration, web‑application support and communication systems.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday from 2 pm to 11 pm.

Required skills

• Administration of Windows Server environments and virtualized platforms.
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure (VM creation, networking, cloud services).
• Proficiency with Active Directory and domain management.
• Virtualization expertise, preferably VMware.
• Understanding of Windows clusters or high‑availability cloud environments.
• Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux systems.
