IT & Cybersecurity Trainee

About the role

The GIRC Trainee position offers hands‑on experience and foundational training in IT and cybersecurity operations. Working within Jolera’s managed‑services environment, you will support the GIRC team by monitoring systems, documenting processes, and assisting with basic technical tasks under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring client environments, systems, and networks.
• Support the team in documenting incidents and resolutions.
• Learn to use ticketing systems and respond to basic technical queries.
• Participate in routine maintenance tasks under guidance.
• Shadow experienced analysts to understand best practices in customer service and troubleshooting.
• Attend training sessions and complete assigned learning modules.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed technical training (Level 5, CET/CTESP equivalent).
• Interest in networking, Windows Server, cloud, or cybersecurity.
• No prior professional experience required; academic or personal IT projects are a plus.
• Willingness to learn, good communication, and ability to work in a team.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ConnectWise or ServiceNow.
• Basic knowledge of firewall and backup tools.
• Experience with monitoring platforms like N‑Central.
