Investment Adviser - Wealth Management

About the role

A leading, sustainability-focused financial services firm is looking for an Investment Adviser for its office in Porto, Portugal. The role is client-facing and performance-driven, offering oversight of diverse client portfolios, extensive training, career advancement and a supportive culture focused on continuous professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and cultivate a diverse portfolio of wealth management clients (B2C).
• Maintain long-term client relationships through personalized advisory and regular communication.
• Grow assets under management by identifying financial needs and proposing suitable solutions.
• Conduct comprehensive client reviews to deliver bespoke wealth management strategies.
• Promote needs-based financial solutions and keep clients informed.
• Monitor market trends and client situations to recommend appropriate products and services.
• Advise across investment avenues including Lump Sum Investments, Fixed-Income Products, Global Funds and more.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Required profile

• At least three years of client-facing experience in wealth management or life insurance advisory, with recognised investment qualifications (e.g. CISI, CII or equivalent).
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or a related field preferred.
• Experience with high net worth clients preferred; familiarity with offshore investments, bonds or pension products is advantageous.
• Proven track record in financial sales, with a goal-oriented, target-driven mindset.

Required skills

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• UK Level 4 advisory qualification or willingness to pursue one.
• Strong judgment and risk analysis capabilities.
