Infrastructure Systems Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team in Porto. The role will focus on managing VMware virtualization, HPE server platforms, and enterprise storage solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across our data‑center environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot VMware vSphere environments.
• Maintain HPE Synergy and HPE ProLiant server infrastructure, including installation, patching and lifecycle management.
• Administer enterprise storage systems such as Pure Storage and SAN fabric, including Brocade switches.
• Implement security policies, compliance standards and monitoring to safeguard infrastructure.
• Automate infrastructure changes through approved automation platforms and governance processes.
• Monitor health of all platforms, identify optimisation opportunities and support technology upgrade projects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure service continuity and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of VMware systems administration experience.
• 5+ years managing HPE Synergy and HPE ProLiant environments.
• 3+ years working with enterprise storage infrastructure.
• Strong organisational, multitasking and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
