About the role

The Mendoza Law Firm, LLC is seeking a full‑time Immigration Attorney to join its San Juan office. This hybrid position combines on‑site collaboration with flexible work‑from‑home days, allowing you to support a diverse client base seeking work permits, permanent residence, and other immigration benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on immigration options and eligibility.
• Prepare, file, and monitor applications and petitions for visas, work permits, and permanent residence.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex immigration issues.
• Draft legal documents, respond to government requests, and attend interviews or hearings as needed.
• Maintain organized case files, track deadlines, and ensure timely case processing.
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and guidance.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration law, statutes, and regulations.
• Experience handling immigration cases, including visa preparation and government correspondence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is required.
• Demonstrated commitment to client service, cultural sensitivity, and working with diverse communities.
