HV Engineer

About the role

Yazaki is looking for a High Voltage Engineer to join its Porto Technical Centre in Ovar, Portugal. The engineer will support product development and production activities for vehicle electrification, connectivity and autonomy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement product development strategies and follow technical specifications.
• Interact with internal and external customers on technical matters.
• Provide technical expertise such as DFMEA, DfM/DfE, VA/VE.
• Support production processes for Yazaki and customer plants.
• Promote improvement activities and ensure information flow within the department.
• Plan and analyse project development, support business acquisition and monitor due dates.
• Report and manage quality claims, implement corrective and preventive actions, and keep customers informed.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electrical, Material or a related engineering field.
• Proficiency in English and strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of main automotive standards (IATF, ISO, TISAX).

Required skills

• 3D CAD tools: CATIA V5, CATIA V6, SolidWorks, CREO.
• DFMEA, DfM, DfE, VA/VE methodologies.
• Automotive standards: IATF, ISO, TISAX.
