High Voltage Project Manager

About the role

Join Siemens Energy’s Grid Technologies, Substations division as a Senior Project Manager responsible for the high‑voltage substation component of the new Start Campus Datacenter Project in Portugal. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from planning through execution to closure, ensuring delivery of critical power infrastructure that supports Europe’s largest datacenter.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and closure of high‑voltage substation projects aligned with datacenter program objectives.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work breakdown structures and resource plans using standard tools.
• Monitor progress against scope, schedule and budget, applying corrective actions when needed.
• Identify, analyse and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external quality and safety standards for high‑voltage environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience delivering large‑scale high‑voltage substation or power infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated leadership of a team of up to 20 direct reports.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time between Portugal, factories and work sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 (considered a plus).
