Head of Payments

About the role

Joom is expanding its global payment infrastructure and needs a strategic leader to drive the vision and execution of payment solutions across Europe, Asia and Latin America. As Head of Payments you will own the end‑to‑end payment strategy, partner negotiations and technical integration for the whole Joom Group.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse regional financial flows to select optimal payment methods for Europe, Asia and LatAm.
• Lead negotiations with payment partners, define commercial terms and manage legal contracting.
• Launch and scale new payment methods across all Joom business units worldwide.
• Design and implement merchant payout processes that comply with PSD2 regulations.
• Track payment and refund metrics, uncover conversion bottlenecks and provide actionable insights.
• Maintain relationships with major international payment systems, monitor performance and resolve contract issues.
• Act as the primary stakeholder for project teams to ensure seamless technical integration of signed solutions.

Required profile

• Proven track record of signing and closing deals with payment systems or large‑scale merchants.
• Deep understanding of the European payment landscape and experience in Asian and Latin American markets.
• Technical knowledge of online payments, acquiring processes and PCI DSS compliance.
• Strong negotiation abilities and fluent English (Chinese preferred).
• Experience leading end‑to‑end delivery of complex payment features.
