Head of Marketing & Communications

About the role

The International School in Lisbon is seeking a dynamic Head of Marketing & Communications to shape its brand narrative, drive student enrolment and strengthen its market position. Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead a small, high‑performing MAC team and act as the primary steward of the school’s communications strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute integrated marketing, admissions and retention plans to achieve annual growth targets.
• Lead, coach and develop a MAC team of 3‑4 professionals, ensuring KPI delivery.
• Serve as the CRM super‑user, analysing enrolment data, optimising the sales funnel and forecasting trends.
• Oversee digital presence, public‑relations strategy, content calendar and major school events.
• Build and nurture strategic relationships with businesses, education agents and local chambers to generate qualified leads.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of sales or marketing experience, preferably within K‑12 private schools or higher‑education institutions.
• Proven track record of managing and motivating high‑performing teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach to strategy.
• Commercial acumen, creativity and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CRM systems and integration into the sales lifecycle.
