Head of Finance & Procurement

About the role

Mercedes‑Benz.io is looking for a Head of Finance & Procurement to lead its finance and procurement functions. You will be the trusted partner for the Managing Directors and Executive Board, ensuring high‑quality reporting, strategic decision‑making and compliant, value‑adding processes across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and governance for Finance and Procurement.
• Advise senior leadership on finance and procurement matters as a co‑pilot.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, cash and risk management.
• Ensure timely statutory financial statements in line with local GAAP (SNC) and group consolidation.
• Own month‑end and year‑end closing, coordinating with shared services and treasury partners.
• Monitor performance and present monthly KPIs, insights and recommendations to the CFO and executives.
• Define and oversee procurement strategies, sourcing, contracting, vendor management and cost optimisation.
• Maintain internal policies and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Represent Finance & Procurement in strategic discussions, risk assessments and governance forums.
• Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary Finance & Procurement team, handling hiring, performance reviews and disciplinary processes.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field; local CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Native‑level Portuguese and fluent English (C1) – written and spoken.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience, including people leadership.
• Proven experience in financial statement preparation, management reporting and in‑depth financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence senior leaders.
• Strong ability to align financial strategies with broader business objectives.

Required skills

• Medium to advanced MS Excel
• Basic experience with Power Automate
