About the role

ABM Industries is looking for a dependable Handyperson to support facility operations through a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. The role blends general labor duties with basic technical responsibilities to keep facilities safe, clean, and functional.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks such as sweeping, debris removal, and moving equipment.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of work areas and materials.
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment.
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
• Conduct minor repairs on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests and report issues promptly.
• Support larger maintenance projects under supervision.
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and maintain clean workspaces.

Required profile

• Prior experience in general labor, maintenance, or handyman roles.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
