Handbag Designer

About the role

Parfois is seeking a creative Handbag Designer to join its Buying & Design department at the Porto headquarters. The role focuses on developing new handbag collections, supporting trend research and ensuring designs are production‑ready. You will translate market insights into innovative designs that meet both aesthetic and functional criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct trend research and compile trend panels to inform design direction.
• Assist in the creation and development of seasonal handbag collections.
• Prepare detailed technical sheets and specifications for manufacturing.
• Ensure technical accuracy of design files and coordinate with suppliers for sample development.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Buying and Commercial teams to align product concepts with market needs.

Required profile

• Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of professional experience in handbag design.
• Strong awareness of current trends and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel as required.
• Creative, proactive and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop.
