Graduate Optimization Engineer – 2‑Year Rotational Programme

About the role

Sibelco is seeking a Graduate Optimization Engineer for the first year of its two‑year Global Graduate Programme. Based in Rio Maior, you will manage CAPEX projects and drive operational improvements at the cluster level, gaining early responsibility in a fast‑moving industrial minerals environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage CAPEX projects using internationally standardised methods and best practices.
• Oversee execution and delivery of operational projects, ensuring safety, sustainability and cost‑effectiveness.
• Drive process innovation, particularly in recycling and environmental applications.
• Support improvements to mineral processing facilities to enhance quality and efficiency.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with interest in innovation, recycling or environmental applications.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Leadership, communication and project‑management skills.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese; Spanish is a plus.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to spend the second year in a different cluster.
