Golang Software Engineer – Lisbon

About the role

Join simplesurance’s international tech team as a Golang Software Engineer and help build the next generation of real‑time cross‑selling platforms. You will work on the backend that powers multiple user‑facing applications within a fast‑growing insurtech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain a real‑time cross‑selling platform using Go and gRPC.
• Own the backend services that support several front‑end applications, extending a gRPC‑based microservice architecture.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high quality, reliability and performance.
• Contribute to platform design with a focus on scalability, availability and resilience.

Required profile

• Solid experience with gRPC, REST APIs and backend testing.
• Strong familiarity with Agile development practices.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent business English.
