GMP Cleaning & Sanitization Technician – 12‑hour Shift

About the role

The GMP Cleaning and Sanitization Technician supports manufacturing and technical areas by performing thorough cleaning, sanitization, and housekeeping activities in a regulated environment. The role ensures that all tasks are completed with minimal impact on production while complying with SOPs, cGMPs, and client regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize manufacturing equipment, exterior areas, utilities, mezzanine, and office spaces according to SOPs.
• Coordinate with clients and production staff to schedule environmental support activities without delaying production.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Document daily logs, work orders, and GMP forms in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
• Enter data into electronic GMP records and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Provide on‑the‑job training for new team members.
• Handle, label, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals safely using required PPE.

Required profile

• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts and support 24/7 operations.
• Physical capability to perform moderate activity for 2‑3 hours and lift up to 25 lb.
• Willingness to work in environments where bleach, isopropyl, sporicidal agents, and other disinfectants are used.
• Attention to detail and adherence to CFR, cGMP, SOP, and company policies.

Required skills

• Cleaning and sanitization procedures using bleach, isopropyl, and sporicidal disinfectants.
• Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for GMP record entry.
• Electronic data entry into GMP systems.
• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals.
