Global Strategic Purchaser – Service Material Procurement

About the role

Vestas is seeking a Global Strategic Purchaser to join its Service Material Procurement team. You will be responsible for the strategic and tactical sourcing of sensors and transformer spare parts used to service the company’s worldwide turbine fleet. The role combines market analysis, supplier negotiation, and cross‑functional project work in a fast‑growing, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and guide the strategic direction for sensors and transformer spare parts in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Lead annual price negotiations and manage purchase agreements with suppliers.
• Drive localization and optimization projects to improve spare‑part availability.
• Ensure the supplier base meets current and future demand through cross‑functional initiatives.
• Participate in cost‑out initiatives, new product development, and supplier performance management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in supply chain, international business, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of strategic procurement experience.
• Proven stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and able to work in multicultural teams.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
