General Sales & Service Technician

About the role

The General Sales & Service Technician supports growth across all business lines by engaging customers, providing expert product and service advice, and ensuring vehicles run at peak efficiency. This role works at the service desk, sales floor, and register, handling appointments, sales, and service coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers in‑store and by phone, building trust and understanding needs.
• Schedule service appointments, sell parts and services, and process work orders and register transactions.
• Perform routine automotive services such as tire mounting, balancing, rotations, oil changes, fluid top‑offs, filter and bulb replacement, battery installation, and vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate cash, credit, refund and return procedures and adhere to company policies.
• Partner with management to ensure a safe, compliant, and organized shop environment.
• Handle key holder duties, opening and closing responsibilities, and basic facility maintenance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least one year of experience in an automotive service setting; sales experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service abilities.
• Willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Tire mounting, balancing and rotation.
• Oil change and fluid top‑off procedures.
• Battery installation and starting system testing.
• Vehicle inspection and cosmetic car services.
• Basic mathematical calculations for commissions and discounts.
