Fullstack Developer

About the role

You will join VW Group Digital Solutions in Portugal as a Fullstack Developer, working on end‑to‑end software projects that span both back‑end and front‑end technologies. The position offers a remote‑friendly environment and the chance to influence architecture, technology choices, and delivery practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain new APIs from scratch.
• Build responsive front‑end applications with appealing visual design.
• Choose appropriate technologies and frameworks for each problem.
• Contribute to technical and architectural decisions.
• Maintain and optimise existing codebases while adhering to SOLID and Clean Code principles.
• Work with AWS services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in pair programming and test‑driven development (TDD) practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer with object‑oriented programming.
• Strong analytical, communication and English language skills.
• Adaptability and eagerness to learn new OOP languages.

Required skills

• Golang, Java or Kotlin (backend).
• TypeScript and React.js (frontend).
• AWS cloud services.
• CI/CD pipelines.
• Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and Pair Programming.
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles and Clean Code.
