Full Stack Developer (JavaScript & Java) – French Speaker

About the role

Aubay Portugal is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer who can work on customer‑facing applications for banking, insurance and other large organisations. You will join an Agile team that builds and evolves critical systems used by millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and integrate proprietary applications using JavaScript (Backbone, Rivets, React.js) and Java (Spring Boot).
• Ensure code quality and security through testing, code reviews and best‑practice QA processes.
• Analyse business requirements and contribute to solution design.
• Maintain functional documentation and support application releases.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with IT and business teams.
• Work on Web Banking platforms, digital onboarding solutions and Open Banking interfaces.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of Full Stack development experience, preferably on transactional websites.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (Backbone, Rivets, React.js) and Java (Spring Boot).
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS and modern IDEs (Eclipse, VS Code, IntelliJ) with Git version control.
• Experience with unit and integration testing and secure coding standards (OWASP, NIST).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, Sonar, Maven, Artifactory, XRay, Kibana, Spring Boot Admin Console, Figma and Jira.
• Understanding of cloud deployment is a plus.
• Fluent in English and French (B2+).
