Full Stack AI Software Engineer (Lisbon, Hybrid)

About the role

ICEYE Portugal is looking for a Full Stack AI Software Engineer to build the software that transforms raw satellite data into actionable intelligence. You will work on end‑to‑end solutions, from data models to user interfaces, in a hybrid setting based in Lisbon.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement full‑stack services that support high‑stakes, resource‑constrained operational environments.
• Develop deterministic, multi‑agent workflows that deliver reliable outcomes in non‑deterministic settings.
• Architect hybrid Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems ensuring semantic alignment across air‑gapped and DDIL environments.
• Optimize geospatial data performance with advanced indexing and query tuning for ultra‑low latency analysis.
• Integrate AI/ML models into real‑world workflows, building observable and scalable APIs and data pipelines.

Required profile

• 2–7 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Full‑stack capability with strong backend skills (Python required) and proficiency in a typed language such as Go, TypeScript, or Rust.
• Ability to obtain national and NATO security clearances.
• Excellent English communication and near‑native Portuguese proficiency (C2).
