About the role
The University of Minho is seeking two qualified candidates for the rank of Full Professor in the Computer Science discipline. The positions are permanent and aim to strengthen the department’s leadership in research, teaching, and service.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop high‑impact research projects in computer science.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Supervise graduate students and post‑doctoral researchers.
- Participate in departmental and university committees.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and external collaboration of the School of Engineering.
Required profile
- Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated record of scholarly publications and research funding.
- Experience in teaching at the university level.
- Commitment to academic excellence and community service.
