Frontend Developer – React (Porto)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Frontend Developer with strong React, TypeScript and GraphQL expertise to join our team in Porto. You will help design and deliver scalable, responsive features for our Business Account portal.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and delivery of full‑stack features for the Business Account portal using React, TypeScript and GraphQL.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate complex financial workflows (transfers, scheduled payments, account management, SCA) into secure, end‑to‑end user experiences.
• Build and maintain high‑performance, data‑rich interfaces for transaction feeds, balances, statements and multi‑currency views.
• Develop and maintain GraphQL schemas, resolvers and API integrations, ensuring type safety and reliability.
• Write clean, well‑tested code with strong TypeScript practices and contribute to system stability and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews across frontend and backend, promoting engineering best practices.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, data inefficiencies and production issues.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest frontend technologies and apply them to improve the platform.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend/web development.
• Expert‑level proficiency in TypeScript, including advanced type manipulation and generics.
• Strong expertise in React.js and its core principles, using a type‑safe approach.
• Experience supporting Java and Spring Boot backend services.
• Extensive experience with Next.js for server‑side rendering, static site generation and API routes, integrated with TypeScript.
• Solid knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with state‑management libraries such as Redux, Context API or Zustand in a TypeScript environment.
• Strong experience consuming GraphQL APIs (e.g., Apollo Client) and defining typed responses.
