Frontend Developer

About the role

Join Aubay Portugal as a Frontend Developer and help shape digital experiences for large organisations in banking, insurance, telecom and energy. You will work closely with design and backend teams to turn Figma concepts into high‑quality, performant web interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new UI pages, flows and reusable components using React and TypeScript.
• Translate Figma designs into polished frontend experiences with a focus on quality and user satisfaction.
• Contribute to and maintain a shared component library built on styled‑components.
• Integrate frontend features with backend APIs, manage state and optimise application performance.
• Participate in architectural discussions, including the adoption of Module Federation and micro‑frontend patterns.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, provide technical guidance and enforce frontend best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience building robust applications with React and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of component‑based architecture, micro‑frontends (e.g., single‑spa) and design systems.
• Proficiency in state management, routing, API integration and performance optimisation.
• Experience creating and maintaining reusable UI components and shared libraries.
• Comfortable with feature branching, pull requests and delivering insightful code reviews.
• High degree of autonomy, critical thinking and proactive use of AI tooling such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
• Minimum B2 level of English.
