Frontend Developer

About the role

ALTEN is looking for a Frontend Developer with around three years of experience to join our Lisbon team. You will work on building reusable Web Components using StencilJS and TypeScript, contributing to the creation of modern, accessible user interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Define initial UI/UX concepts, assess technical feasibility of Web Components, and create early prototypes or wireframes with StencilJS.
• Develop reusable Web Components using StencilJS and TypeScript, ensuring proper logic, styling, lifecycle methods, accessibility, and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Prepare and maintain component documentation, versioning, and Storybook (or equivalent) showcases.
• Perform unit and end‑to‑end testing, validate behavior across browsers, conduct performance profiling, and troubleshoot issues.
• Estimate development effort, support sprint planning, track progress, and identify frontend risks or blockers.
• Collaborate with backend teams (basic Java knowledge) and ensure seamless integration.

Required profile

• Approximately 3 years of professional experience as a Front‑End Developer.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model from Lisbon (Paço de Arcos).
• Strong teamwork orientation and ability to meet project milestones.
