Front Office Manager – Hotel Hospitality

About the role

The Front Office Manager leads the Front Office team to deliver exceptional guest experiences from check‑in to check‑out at Duo Hotel Lisbon. This role combines operational oversight, sales focus, and team development within a hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the entire Front Office operation, maintaining high service standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, recognise regular and VIP guests, and drive continuous improvement.
• Maximise room occupancy and revenue through up‑selling and promotion of hotel services.
• Set, monitor and achieve departmental targets, budgets, schedules, policies and procedures.
• Ensure team appearance, performance and training, fostering teamwork and product knowledge.
• Maintain effective communication with all hotel departments and manage staffing levels.
• Conduct monthly meetings, produce minutes, and manage performance issues in line with company policy.
• Recruit, train, develop and lead the Front Office team.
• Comply with security, fire, health and safety regulations and operate front‑of‑house equipment and PMS.
• Assist other departments as needed.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of Front Office supervisory experience in hotel, leisure or retail.
• High level of IT proficiency and commercial awareness.
• Proven ability to manage people, develop staff and handle a Profit & Loss account.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Resilient, accountable and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent grooming standards and flexibility to respond to varied situations.
