Firmware & Electrical Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Firmware & Electrical Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of Firmware and Electrical Engineers. You will be hands‑on with product builds, bring‑up, and EVT/DVT/PVT phases while setting the technical standards for every device we ship.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team through regular 1:1s, performance reviews and career planning.
• Champion structured engineering workflows, drive process improvements and oversee 8D investigations, component lifecycle management and design changes.
• Own delivery and coordination of team capacity, workload distribution and resource planning; partner with project managers on schedule, risk and issue tracking.
• Serve as project manager for selected projects or sub‑initiatives, ensuring tight co‑design with other engineering groups.
• Provide technical guidance on microcontroller selection, board bring‑up, power systems and debugging to unblock hard problems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, embedded firmware engineering or combined EE/FW roles.
• Proven leadership experience, formally or informally, with the ability to influence outcomes and develop talent.
• Comfortable working cross‑functionally in fast‑paced hardware development cycles (EVT/DVT/PVT).
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills.

Required skills

• Microcontrollers and embedded C/C++ development.
• Board bring‑up and power system design.
• Debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, JTAG and logic analyzers.
• Embedded firmware development or close collaboration with firmware engineers.
