About the role
The Financial Investigator will support the Drug Enforcement Administration Diversion Control Division in analyzing complex financial and business records to aid federal diversion investigations, prosecutions, and asset forfeiture.
Key responsibilities
- Organize and conduct detailed examinations of information generated during complex financial criminal and civil investigations.
- Analyze personal and business assets of targeted organizations or individuals using alternative data sources.
- Prepare documentation of financial analyses for use by law‑enforcement personnel in civil and criminal matters.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent (e.g., high school diploma + 4 years relevant experience).
- At least 5 years of criminal investigative experience, including a minimum of 2 years in financial investigations.
- Working knowledge of current financial investigation techniques.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain the required security clearance.
