Financial Controller

About the role

Retail Consult is a technology‑focused consultancy helping retailers transform their businesses. The Financial Controller will be based in Porto and will support the finance team by delivering accurate reporting and driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports aligned with management needs.
• Create and monitor financial and operational KPIs to support decision‑making.
• Implement and improve internal control processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Contribute to the automation and continuous optimisation of financial and reporting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in Controlling, FP&A or a similar role.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and reporting/analysis tools.
• Experience with Oracle NetSuite.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and communication skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
