Financial Accounting Specialist

About the role

JUDE, a fast‑growing luxury footwear brand, is seeking a hands‑on Finance Professional to own its books, numbers and overall financial health. You will work directly with the founders and leadership, acting as the go‑to partner for all financial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping, including invoicing, expense tracking, reconciliations and ledger maintenance.
• Own full‑cycle accounting: accounts payable/receivable, month‑end close and preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts, budget monitoring and margin analysis across production, wholesale and retail channels.
• Ensure compliance with Portuguese tax, accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors as needed.
• Support leadership with financial insights to guide strategic decisions.
• Help design and improve financial processes and internal controls as the company scales.

Required profile

• Solid experience in bookkeeping, accounting and financial controlling (or a strong mix of two with willingness to grow).
• Working knowledge of Portuguese accounting standards and tax obligations.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and comfortable owning numbers end‑to‑end.
• Experience in retail, fashion or manufacturing is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Primavera, Sage, QuickBooks or similar.
