Facilities Maintenance Technician III – 3rd Shift

About the role

MiniMed is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician III to join the 3rd shift team (Saturday to Thursday). In this hands‑on, site‑based position you will ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant and office systems, supporting the company’s mission to improve the lives of people with diabetes worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on plant and office facilities, machinery and equipment on the 3rd shift.
• Work across multiple trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, sheet‑metal fabrication and welding.
• Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot failures and execute corrective actions to avoid equipment downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, layouts and specifications to guide repairs.
• Utilize hand and power tools, as well as computer‑based maintenance systems (CMMS, SAP) to log work and track asset performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in an industrial or plant environment.
• Vocational or technical education/certification in a relevant trade is preferred.
• Ability to work independently on the night shift and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks and lift equipment as required.

Required skills

• Carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, sheet‑metal fabrication and welding.
• Machine and equipment repair, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Use of hand and power tools, blueprint and wiring diagram interpretation.
• Experience with CMMS; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with building automation systems and utility equipment such as air handling units, chillers, variable frequency drives, pumps, compressors, dryers and DI water systems.
