Extracurricular Internship: R&D Engineer – Support to Lead Engineers

About the role

This 12‑month extracurricular internship offers a hands‑on experience in research and development for heating solutions. You will work closely with Lead R&D Engineers, supporting the design, optimisation and testing of thermal and hydraulic product architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Lead Engineers in designing and modifying thermal and hydraulic product concepts.
• Support the execution of thermodynamic and hydraulic performance tests in state‑of‑the‑art laboratories, including data collection and analysis.
• Help analyse international standards, prepare technical reports and contribute to engineering change management processes.
• Participate in troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and brainstorming sessions with senior experts.
• Facilitate communication and technical data exchange between Lead Engineers and departments such as Quality, Product Management and Manufacturing.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Physics or a related technical field.
• Strong interest in thermodynamics, hydraulics, fluid mechanics and sustainable green technologies.
• Good written and spoken communication skills in Portuguese and English.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail when handling technical data.
