Export Control Due Diligence Manager

About the role

Airbus Portugal is looking for an Export Control Due Diligence Manager to ensure compliance with export licences, regulations and internal directives. The role will provide guidance to stakeholders, liaise with commercial and regional export control teams, and drive continuous improvement of export control processes.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with licences, export requirements, laws, regulations and reporting obligations.
• Provide export control expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Liaise between business functions and Airbus commercial or regional export control teams.
• Monitor, assess, decide, control and document export classification, licensing and licence‑exception usage.
• Support the Export Control Compliance Programme and promote key messages across the organisation.
• Continuously improve internal processes and deploy automation tools in line with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law, international trade or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience advising on export control or sanctions matters.
• High integrity, discretion and trust.
• Leadership and project‑management capabilities.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills, able to handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent written communication for reports and memoranda.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
• Fluency in English; French, German or Spanish a plus.
