Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our international engineering teams in Germany and Portugal. The role blends people leadership, technical oversight, and delivery ownership to ensure high‑quality, sustainable software delivery for core business systems.

Key responsibilities

• Own delivery execution and align it with the technology roadmap.
• Ensure sustainable, predictable, and high‑quality software delivery.
• Lead, coach, and develop engineers, handling feedback, staffing, and performance management.
• Provide technical direction and promote engineering best practices.
• Drive engineering quality, maintainability, testability, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and business stakeholders to translate priorities into realistic delivery plans.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, QA engineering, or a comparable technical role.
• Proven experience leading, coaching, or developing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of software quality, maintainability, testability, and operational excellence.
• Ability to translate business priorities into realistic engineering execution.
• Experience working closely with Product Owners, Agile Leads, and business stakeholders.
• Fluent English communication (written and spoken).
