Engineering Consultant

About the role

The Engineering Consultant will join a minority‑owned disaster recovery firm to support the planning, design, and implementation of federally funded recovery projects. Based on‑site in San Juan, the consultant works closely with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet compliance and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze infrastructure and recovery needs to develop feasible engineering solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and compliance‑focused deliverables.
• Advise clients on engineering approaches that align with federal funding requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers to review project plans for feasibility and integration.
• Contribute to risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and site inspections.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree (civil, structural, or related field) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in disaster recovery, infrastructure projects, or federal funding compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish language skills are an advantage.
