Embedded Software Engineer – Radar

About the role

As an Embedded Software Engineer you will contribute to Bosch's automotive radar portfolio, developing high‑quality software that ensures product reliability throughout its lifecycle. You will work in a multidisciplinary team at Bosch's Research & Development Center in Braga, focusing on functional testing of radar hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, document and maintain software for hardware functional tests related to radar systems.
• Apply coding best practices and a quality‑first mindset throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with hardware, system, and production test teams in a simultaneous‑engineering environment.
• Defend technical decisions based on standards, best practices and relevant technical knowledge.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc or higher in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Solid experience in embedded software development.
• Pro‑active attitude with a good understanding of both high‑level system architecture and low‑level component interactions.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes or digital analyzers.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming.
• C# and Python scripting.
• Embedded systems development tools.
