Electrical Physical Designer 1 – Energy & Industrial

About the role

The Electrical Physical Designer 1 will join a multi‑disciplined team to produce detailed design drawings for energy and industrial projects. You will apply and expand your drafting expertise using 2D and 3D tools while collaborating with engineers, vendors and construction contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Create accurate scale drawings that show the relationship of proposed installations to existing facilities.
• Develop grounding layouts, underground duct banks, embedded conduit, cable tray and exposed conduit drawings.
• Assist senior designers on site walk‑downs to gather field data and verify design intent.
• Communicate drawing details to vendors and contractors and incorporate required adjustments.
• Maintain design standards and documentation in AutoCAD 3D and/or MicroStation environments.

Required profile

• Associate degree in drafting or high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.
• At least five years of physical design or drafting experience.
• Fully bilingual in Spanish and English (read, write, speak).
• Strong ability to visualize parts in three dimensions without computer aid.
