Electrical Engineer – Data Centers

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Electrical Engineer to join our Lisbon office and contribute to the design and development of high‑performance electrical systems for large‑scale data centers. The role supports mission‑critical infrastructure projects across Europe and the Middle East, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Design power distribution, grounding, lighting, and standby power systems for data centers.
• Create single‑line diagrams, schematics, and panel schedules using EPLAN and Revit.
• Perform short‑circuit, load‑flow, arc‑flash, and protection coordination analyses with ETAP.
• Develop lighting and emergency lighting designs using DIALux.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and architectural teams for seamless integration.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC, and NFPA 70E standards.
• Prepare detailed design documentation, specifications, and Bills of Quantities.
• Support commissioning teams and respond to RFIs during construction.
• Maintain compliance with local electrical codes and global data‑center standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience ranging from junior (1 + year) to senior (8 + years) in mission‑critical or data‑center design.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, and Uptime Institute Tier classifications.
• Familiarity with HV/MV substations, switchgear layouts, and BMS integration.
• English proficiency required; additional languages are a plus.
