DevOps Engineer – Internal Developer Platform

About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with a strong software engineering background to join a leading logistics and digital services organization. The role focuses on building and evolving an internal developer platform to boost developer experience, productivity, and standardisation across multiple teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of an internal developer platform built on Backstage.
• Create and maintain application skeletons to speed up project kick‑offs.
• Develop, optimise, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Build and improve developer tooling, workflows, and automation processes.
• Support and advise development teams on CI/CD and DevOps best practices.
• Continuously enhance developer experience in collaboration with DevOps and platform teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong software engineering background, preferably with Java or C#.
• Hands‑on experience with Backstage or solid skills in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Proven experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD concepts.
• Automation and scripting experience (Bash, Python) and familiarity with Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Comfortable working in corporate environments with proxy constraints.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
