DevOps Engineer – Backend

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer – Backend to design, automate, and maintain the infrastructure that powers our backend systems. You will collaborate closely with developers to streamline deployments, improve scalability, and ensure reliability, security, and cost‑effectiveness of our services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for build, test and deployment automation.
• Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation or Pulumi.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes, including Helm charts.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks and improve reliability.
• Enforce security best practices such as identity management, logging and vulnerability management.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment efficiency and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
• Optimise cloud resource utilisation for cost‑effectiveness and scalability.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management and system maintenance.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging DevOps technologies, tools and best practices.

Required profile

• Approximately 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, ArgoCD).
• Hands‑on experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure or GCP) and serverless computing.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
• Solid knowledge of Linux‑based systems, networking and security best practices.
• Programming/scripting skills in Bash, Python or Go.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
