Desktop Support Engineer L1 – Onsite IT Support

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Onsite Desktop Support Engineer (Level 1) to deliver end‑user computing services across our enterprise environment. The role involves hands‑on troubleshooting of hardware, software and network issues, as well as providing VIP desk‑side support for executives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for hardware, software and network connectivity problems.
• Manage the full lifecycle of desktops, laptops and peripherals, including IMAC activities.
• Diagnose and resolve break/fix issues, install and configure Windows operating systems.
• Deploy, maintain and patch desktop images and software packages using SCCM.
• Administer Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and ensure security compliance.
• Use ServiceNow (or similar ITSM) to log incidents, service requests and problem tickets.
• Deliver remote support via enterprise remote‑desktop tools and provide executive‑level desk‑side assistance.
• Support VPN, Microsoft Teams (or Lync/Skype for Business) and mobile devices.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking and security teams to resolve complex issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions and asset inventory.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in onsite desktop support or end‑user computing.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop hardware.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft SCCM and Microsoft Intune.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or comparable ITSM platforms.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook.
• Ability to provide professional VIP support and work independently when other teams are unavailable.
