Dental Assistant

About the role

Triple‑S is seeking a qualified Dental Assistant to support dentists in delivering high‑quality, affordable oral health care to our members in Puerto Rico. You will work directly with dental professionals, preparing treatment rooms, patients, and instruments while ensuring compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during all procedures, including specialty areas.
• Prepare treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials for each appointment.
• Perform dental radiography, take alginate and final impressions for crowns, bridges, and other prosthetics.
• Provide cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening and temporary crown preparation.
• Conduct dental prophylaxis, amalgam and resin restorations, and other clinical tasks.
• Manage laboratory communications, send and receive case information, and verify lab work.
• Wash, sterilize, and maintain all dental instruments and equipment.
• Supply surgical trays, maintain clean service areas, and support inventory control of dental materials.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree in Dental Assisting (or Expanded Functions) from an accredited program.
• 1‑3 years of experience in a dental office setting.
• Current, unrestricted Dental Assistant license in Puerto Rico.
