Data Engineer – Security Analytics

About the role

Join Allianz Services as a Data Engineer within the Digital Resilience as a Service framework. You will collaborate with Group Information Security and Allianz Technology to transform security data into reliable risk insight and group‑wide reporting standards, working in a modern analytics environment spanning cloud platforms, automated pipelines, and advanced visualisation.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate data from SIEM, EDR, IAM, DLP, vulnerability management, ITSM, cloud, and HR systems to build a single source of truth for security metrics using Azure services.
• Design, build, and maintain automated data pipelines (PySpark, Azure Data Factory) for scheduled ingestion, transformation, and KPI/KRI computation.
• Build executive and operational Power BI dashboards with clear metric definitions, documentation, and governed datasets, implementing scheduled refreshes and Row‑Level Security.
• Work with cloud‑based and on‑premises data stores (Azure Synapse, SQL databases, MongoDB) to query, transform, and model security data at scale.
• Conduct ad‑hoc analysis, root‑cause investigations, trend reporting, and establish data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and validation checks.
• Explore and apply Generative AI capabilities to enhance reporting and analytics workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Security or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Solid hands‑on experience with Power BI (DAX, Power Query) for data modelling and visualisation.
• Experience with at least one Azure data platform (Synapse, Data Factory) and data‑lake/warehouse concepts.
• Proficiency in a programming or scripting language for data manipulation such as Python, PySpark or SQL.
• Working knowledge of data‑governance practices and ability to communicate insights in English to non‑technical stakeholders.
