Data Engineer (Hybrid, Portugal)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our growing team in Portugal. You will work on building and maintaining data pipelines that power our analytics and product initiatives, collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS and Databricks.
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions using S3, Lambda, and Glue.
• Maintain version control and code quality through GitHub.
• Monitor data workflows, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data reliability.
• Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to understand data needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Fluent English (B2 level or higher).
• Based in Portugal with EU citizenship or a valid Portuguese work permit.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Amazon Web Services (S3, Lambda, Glue).
• Databricks platform.
• ETL/ELT processes.
• GitHub for source control.
