Data Engineer – ETL & Data Warehouse (Porto)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Data Engineer to design, develop and maintain robust ETL pipelines and enterprise data‑warehouse solutions. The role is based in Porto and requires close collaboration with both business and technical teams to turn data requirements into scalable, high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ETL pipelines using PowerCenter or comparable tools (Talend, ODI).
• Write, optimise and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions and queries on Oracle databases.
• Architect and evolve data‑warehouse models, ensuring data quality, integrity and performance.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve existing data integration processes.
• Apply data‑governance, security and quality best practices.
• Support reporting and dashboard creation, preferably with Power BI.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer, ETL Developer or similar.
• Strong expertise with PowerCenter (or equivalent ETL tools such as Talend or ODI).
• Excellent knowledge of PL/SQL and Oracle databases.
• Solid understanding of data‑warehouse architecture and dimensional modelling.
• Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent French (C2); English is a plus.
